Patty Slaps announces location for second Montreal smash burger restaurant
July 05, 2024Hot on the heels of its first anniversary, Think Retail is pleased to share that the Patty Slaps team has secured a space to open its second premium fast-casual eatery.
The 5,000-sq.-ft. restaurant, which will feature a patio, is slated to open in the piazza at the new Royalmount development in mid-November. Royalmount is a groundbreaking approach to how people work, learn, play and live. The largest private development in Quebec, the mixed-used project in the heart of Montreal puts a premium on green space, with public transit access and a focus on what the creators call “active mobility…. a never-before-seen living environment where connectivity, creativity, sustainability and technology thrive.”
It’s the ideal home for the innovative concept that, in just a year, has become one of the top performing QSRs in the province.
Since opening on Sainte Catherine Street West in June 2023, Patty Slaps continues to make headlines and earn rave reviews for its amazing fries and signature flame-grilled burgers that are made fresh in-house, featuring gooey cheese, sauces and mouthwatering toppings, all housed in a decadent pretzel bun.
In addition, Patty Slaps offers a well-curated drinks menu that spans fun soft drinks and beer, in cans or kegs, from an area brewery.
This is a fresh idea—premium fast-casual dining, housed in a fantastic space where attention to detail is everywhere. The branding, from décor to packaging and marketing, is cool, fun and welcoming, with an edge.
Technology is at the core of the concept, with friendly staff onsite to help customers navigate the self -automated ordering system where they order their food using an iPad. When the food is ready, customers are called to the counter for pick-up.
Patty Slaps has four co-owners—Ehsan Baghaki, Hamed Massoumi, Mohammad Mehmanchi and Keyvan Moradi—who are passionate about food, technology and growing the business.
Last fall, the Patty Slaps team announced exciting plans to roll out 40 locations in Canada in the next five years.
Markets of interest include, Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal, as well as Old Montreal and Brossard. The company is exploring Toronto for an opening in late 2025. Ideal spaces are about 2,500 sq. ft. along high-traffic streets.
