KaleMart24 lands in Toronto and sets sights on 10 more Toronto stores
October 06, 2026
KaleMart24, the modern convenience retail concept that is redefining what a neighbourhood convenience store can be, has arrived in Toronto with its first location on Yonge Stree -and much bigger expansion plans in the works.
The new 1,800-sq.-ft. store marks an important milestone for the growing brand, which is targeting 10 new Toronto locations over the next 12 months.
With a focus on high-traffic pedestrian locations, KaleMart24 is seeking opportunities along established high streets, while also considering select super-regional malls. The retailer is targeting spaces ranging from 1,000 to 1,800 sq. ft., with a strategy built around convenience, accessibility and strong pedestrian traffic.
At the heart of the concept is a simple idea: convenience retail can be about much more than traditional grab-and-go fare. Dubbed the "Wholefoods of convenience," KaleMart24 is breaking away from the long-standing association between convenience stores and junk food, instead offering healthier, more mindful choices designed for a younger, mobile consumer. The brand combines the familiar, neighbourhood feel of a local market with the look and energy of a contemporary upscale retailer.
The result is a curated shopping experience featuring premium lifestyle brands, fresh food, organic and natural products, and better-for-you beverages, alongside the everyday essentials consumers expect from a convenience store.
The concept also takes a broader approach to everyday wellness. Dedicated sections for personal care products and a mini organic pet section extend the offering beyond food and beverages, giving customers more reasons to make KaleMart24 part of their daily routines.
Sustainability is another important part of the brand's vision, with KaleMart24 aiming to make shopping for organic and natural products not only accessible, but also fun and inspiring.
Toronto represents a natural next step for the concept. With its dense neighbourhoods, busy pedestrian corridors and increasingly diverse mix of food, beverage and lifestyle consumers, the city offers an opportunity to bring the KaleMart24 experience to a new market while continuing to refine its modern approach to convenience.
