Pinkberry - Swirling Soon at Metropolis at Metrotown

October 12, 2011

We're excited to announce that construction will begin next week, at Pinkberry's 2nd Canadian location, at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, BC. The hoarding is now up (see photo) and Ken and his team are chomping at the bit to begin this project. The store is 875 sq.ft and is situated directly adjacent the food court. A mid-November opening is anticipated. If you simply cannot wait for the big day, you'll be pleased to hear Pinkberry has been swirling up free samples in the centre. That's right - freebies. Get'em while they're hot; I mean cold.

In other Pinkberry news, I am pleased to confirm that the company will open in Fall 2012, in the new food court at Richmond Centre. Furthermore, Pinkberry has also committed to a location in Abbottsford, at High Street, the Shape Properties lifestyle centre, which is scheduled to be completed in late summer 2013. We also expect to announce shortly, the location of Pinkberry's 1st location in the province Alberta. Get ready Edmonton!

In addition to the above, Pinkberry is actively seeking to open additional stores in Canada. Markets of interest include Alberta and British Columbia. Size required is 300-1000 sq.ft. Both super regional malls and high pedestrian street-front locations will be considered.

Report from Park Royal - Since opening in late July, the lines have been long, with excited British Columbians coming from all over the province to get their taste of Pinkberry's swirly goodness. The store is doing absolutely amazing and has shattered the sales projection which had been set.
