Lole - Going to California

December 03, 2012

Ladies activewear specialist Lole opened a pop-up store on State Street in Santa Barbara, California. The opening is detailed in a great feature on WWD.com; click HERE to see the article.

It has certainly been a great year for Lole. The company is reporting comp store sales increases of 30%. Further, earlier in the year, the company opened in West Edmonton Mall (see photo), Canada's largest shopping centre. Lole will finish the year with 12 stores operating in Canada, US, France and Switzerland.

Lole is primed for additional expansion in Canada, and is targeting the following markets: Alberta and Ontario. Lole will open in super regional centres and downtown high street locations. Size required is 1200-1600 sq.ft.

About Lole - Lole is owned by Coalision Inc, who themselves are owned by private equity firm Kilmer Capital Partners (whose CEO is Larry Tanenbaum, Chairman of Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment). Coalision operates offices in Montreal and Biarritz. Total annual sales exceed $85 million.
